Jamie Buchanan was born in Richmond, Surrey, on the southwest edge of London. His first career was in the advertising agency business, which he pursued with varying degrees of success and failure for over 20 formative years in London and remoter parts of England. Next came a lengthy stint on the client side as marketer in a highly esoteric branch of the IT industry.

From childhood Jamie harboured an ambition to be a professional creative writer, not of advertising copy and marketing hyperbole but of entertaining and saleable novels. 20 years in the making, Dirty Deeds is his first work to see daylight; hopefully the gestation period of the next title will not be quite as long. In the meantime he is also preparing some of his late dad Fred’s work for publication under the Fredbird imprint. Jamie lives in a small hamlet in Buckinghamshire, England, near the top of a Chiltern hill.
